Week 4: Effective Communication and Story Telling

Effective Communication and Story telling

Effective communication and storytelling skills are essential for technopreneurs because they allow them to communicate their ideas and vision to their team, investors, consumers, and other stakeholders.

Effective communication entails presenting information in a clear, accurate, and understandable manner to the intended audience. It necessitates the use of appropriate words, tone, and medium, as well as the ability to actively listen and respond to feedback.

Storytelling, on the other hand, is the skill of using narratives to communicate ideas, motivate people, and form emotional relationships. In the world of technology entrepreneurship, narrative is frequently used to present concepts, attract investors, and engage customers. A compelling tale can assist a technopreneur in connecting with their audience on a deeper level, emphasizing the value of their product or service, and distinguishing themselves from the competition.

To sum up everything that has been stated so far, when good communication and story telling are combined, technopreneurs may develop strong relationships with their team, investors, and customers, increasing the likelihood of their businesses' success.

Fixing the Mistakes we did on the previous Interview

In the previous week during our consultation, we discovered that one of the biggest challenges in gathering interview data is to ensure that the responses we receive are unbiased and reflective of the interviewee's own opinions and experiences. However, it is possible to inadvertently introduce bias into the interview process, particularly if we make the mistake of sharing our own ideas and solutions with the interviewee.

In the previous interview we made a mistake on sharing our own ideas and solutions, that causes the risk of priming the interviewee to respond in a way that aligns with our perspective, rather than their own. Which led to bias responses that do not accurately reflect the interviewee's true opinions and experiences.

To avoid this mistake from happening again, we made it so that during our next interview, it is essential to remain neutral and open-minded during the interview process, actively listening to the interviewee's responses, and avoiding the temptation to lead the conversation in a particular direction. By doing so, we can ensure that the data we collect is as unbiased and informative as possible, enabling us to gain a better understanding of the problems and challenges faced by our interviewees and to develop more effective solutions.

DATA RESULTS FROM THE PREVIOUS INTERVIEW

DATA RESULTS FROM THE PRESENT INTERVIEW

Based on the data results from the previous and the current interview we can observe that there are changes on the gathered data specifically their percentages.

Overall insights for this week:
The key to effective interview data gathering is to remain objective and focused on the interviewee's experiences and opinions rather than our own preconceived ideas and solutions. By doing so, we can collect high-quality data that is more likely to lead to successful outcomes and solutions.
